«Music to me is an art form and I treat it that way»
The second edition of the charity concert “Toca un blues pel Sàhara” (Play a Blues for the Sahara) has confirmed Xavier Soranells as one of the invited artists to perform the next 24 October 2016 at the Luz de Gas hall in Barcelona. The benefit festival is destined to aid Sahrawi mine victims and population suffering from diabetes.
Musicians from different styles and origins will join for one night to remind one of the most forgotten conflicts in the World. To date, confirmed artists include other local stars and the acclaimed Sahrawi singer-songwriter Aziza Brahim.
Proceeds generated through ticket sales and donations received will be directed to charity programs for the Sahrawi refugee camps, by the non-governmental organization APSS (www.apssprojectesolidari.es).
Xavier Soranells also performed the first edition of the festival hold in 2014. Now, some of the songs included in his upcoming brand new album will be featured in advance of the next World Tour.
